Welcome to Year 4!

In year 4 our teacher is Mrs Beddow. Our teaching assistants are Mrs Blake and Miss Lees.

This half term our topic is

Rainforests

We will be looking where rainforests are located, what they are like and we will be researching how rainforests help us. We will also be looking at deforestation and the problems it is causing.

Please see our Topic Web and Newsletter for more information.

This half term out PE days will be Monday and Wednesday. Children can attend school wearing PE kit on these days. We will also be swimming on Thursdays, stsrting later in September.

Homework

We expect children to read at least 4 times each week. Children should bring their reading diary in each day.

We will also set a piece of homework each Friday, to be handed in by the following Friday. This should support the learning we have been doing in the classroom.

We also continue to learn spellings and times tables each week.

At the end of the half term, we will reward children who have read and completed their homework consistently.
